“A congressperson represents their people -- at least, they’re supposed to. Congress today works to protect the bottom line of powerful multinational corporations, not people like us.” -Sarah Smith
Justice Democrats is proud of supporting candidates with a positive vision for our future. As establishment strategies continue to fail the people, Sarah Smith fights for a platform to uplift the lives of the extraordinary people she would represent by replacing the incumbent:
- Investing in new industries with a living wage
- Making education accessible with tuition free public college and trade school
- Fighting for Medicare for All
- Ending the War on Drugs and the School to Prison pipeline
- Leading the Green Energy revolution
Raised in a proud working class family, her parents taught her hard work can overcome seemingly impossible odds, yet her family was hit hard by the Great Recession and was forced to split up to survive. Sarah knows she’s not alone.
“The importance of doing the right thing and standing up for our values was drilled into me my entire life. I felt those values calling me to serve as I’d never served before, and I embraced it. I’m running for Congress because I believe it’s time for regular people to be represented by regular people. Congress can only serve America when it stands as a true reflection of Americans -- the full spectrum of our society.” -Sarah Smith
Help us spread the message about Sarah's mission to bring real change to Washington District-09 and to America and make some calls!
